Action

The members of Performics Mexico attended the foundation "Alimento para Todos", a food bank that supports people in extreme poverty, and where they dedicated themselves to cleaning and sorting food to assemble nutritional packages for the neediest people.

In September 2019, all Performics offices around the world held Performics Global Community Day : teams carry out charity or volunteer activities to generate value in our communities. The members of Performics Mexico attended the foundation "Alimento para Todos", a food bank that supports people in extreme poverty, and where they dedicated themselves to cleaning and sorting food to assemble nutritional packages for the neediest people.

Testimony of Yelitzi Urbina, Performance Manager at Performics Mexico

In the morning, we had a brief presentation about the impact the food bank has on the communities it helps and how food waste is a big issue based only on aesthetics. It’s prompting us to think harder about our consuming habits and how privileged we truly are to have all the buying alternatives available to us. From the beginning, there was a strong sense of community, and the people that had volunteered there for a while were quick to welcome us and show us how things were sorted and organized. We decided to divide ourselves into groups to be as efficient as possible since there wasn’t a lot of time and there were packages upon packages of goods. I remember that we worked as a team with the same objective, everybody was doing their task with kindness and with no complaints. In conclusion, we can say that this initiative is a win-win for those who receive the help and the others who are responsible for reaching the goal..
